Disclosure Policy

Effective December 1, 2009, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is enforcing new regulations for blogs in regards to the receipt of gratis products in order to create blogging culture of full disclosure. As a result, Bloggers must disclose to their Readers any complimentary products or services they receive from companies.

Please know that my reviews and giveaways are entirely independent. I do not get paid to review or recommend any products! These reviews, remarks, and recommendations are my personal, unbiased opinion as a working, professional Makeup Artist. Most of the products I review are cosmetics that I purchased myself.  Also note, I do not work for any of these cosmetic/skincare companies except for when noted (for example, I work as Lead Makeup Artist for Bilkerdijk Cosmetics).

On occasion I do receive products from PR companies for review or for Reader giveaway so in an effort to provide transparency I will now note in my posts when that happens. Please be assured "Karen's World of Beauty" Readers will continue to get my unbiased opinions on all beauty and skincare product. If you have any questions or thoughts regarding this new disclosure policy, please contact me.

Thank you and I truly appreciate your Readership!

Karen (aka MakUpDiva)
