READER BEAUTY QUESTION - TINTED MOISTURIZER FOR DARK SKIN

My fabulous Fashion Stylist friend, Kalyn Johnson of the style blog "Possess Your Style" recently emailed me with a makeup emergency.  The tinted moisturizer that she loved and used for years has been discontinued so she needs recommendations for her deeper skin tone.  Her questions seemed liked a great "Reader Beauty Question" to feature on my blog since alot of women of color don't like to wear foundation but want some coverage. Tinted moisturizer gives women the moisture that their skin needs along with a sheer wash of color that blends beautifully.  See below for my top picks of tinted moisturizer for women with deeper skin tones.

  2. Thanks for leaving your comment. Personally my skin needs more coverage but it's a wonderful product for those with even and clear skin.

I'm thinking of doing a post on mineral foundation because there is alot of misinformation on that topic.

Thanks for your support and keep reading!

  3. Hello, Lexie here. My African-American skin tone isn't very even, but the Avon's Mark Tinted Moisturizer seems to work great for me. I was wondering if I'm supposed to set it with foundation or what? Doesn't seem to need it, but I just want to make sure. Thanks!

  4. Hi Lexie,

Thanks for leaving your comment. Tinted moisturizer takes the place of foundation...you don't use both. If you get shiny or oily then you can set the tinted moisturizer with alittle face powder or translucent powder.

Keep the beauty questions coming & thanks for being a Karen's World of Beauty reader!!!
